Michael Robertson, founder of MP3.com and blogger for MichaelRobertson.com, has dropped the reality bomb on the Zune community.
Robertson writes,
“Now if you’re thinking that zune sounds familiar it’s because the press has been abuzz about an upcoming MP3 player from Microsoft called Zune. At first glance the features seem compelling but my prediction is it will be the biggest flop of 2007 with less than 50,000 units sold worldwide.”
The rest of the column is one big slap in the face but it needed to be said.

It’s for some new toy talk for my greek friends and fellow bloggers. The first of my weekend picks is the Hydrogen Fuelled Racing Car. Christmas is just around the corner so you might want to bookmark this little gem.
The little hydro gadget on wheels can run for up to four minutes on a single fill of water. Not bad for good old H2O eh?

Zune’s very own Cesar Menendez is putting together yet another “Zune and soup” meeting.
Last Wednesday Cesar met with his blog readers to show them his Zune and enjoy some small talk. According to Cesar’s blog he’ll be back at the Coffee Chop in Seattle this next Wednesday for another cup of soup and some show and tell with the new Zune. I’m no fan of the Zune, but it’s good to see Microsoft getting its people out in the real world.
In case you’re new to the Zune storm, Zune is Microsoft’s stumbling attempt to challenge iPod for the king of the media players trophy.

CruchGear gave us a heads up on a crunchy little PC today. The Psile Media Center Silent PC is a machine that should turn some heads over the next few weeks.
The Psile is compact, sexy, and fast. Too bad it’s price doesn’t match its size…

Vonage looks to dive into the “how small can you get” pool with its newly released USB phone for VOIP.
The device comes with an earbud and plugs into USB outlet on your laptop or desktop. Looks like the price tag on this gadget is just under $30.00 USD. Not bad. Not bad at all.

I typically just use my Treo for a wake up alarm, but I must admit that I sometimes wish the snooze acted like it was meant to. If someone wants to get me a gadget for Christmas this year, by all means please consider this clock.
Instead of a nerve racking screams of the typical alarm, you get a gradual increase in ambient light, stimulating aromas, and peaceful sounds from nature. This gadget could make mornings much more enjoyable.
