Same problem here except its been happening for a long time now, i love FF and all but its gotten ridiculous, my comp stats are 3 gigs of ram dual core 5300+ amd 120gig hd brand new 512mb video card, everything is pretty new, maybe half a year old and well, thats new for me :p and even with just Ff open and nothing else, once i get to 10 tabs (yeah i know a good bit) it would crash, dunno why at 10 but it did, also it would just crash randomly, once i installed 2.0 it does not crash at 10 tabs, it just crashes more often randomly, sometimes video's may be the reason but like i said earlier my comp should be able to handle a youtube video, (and i don't open more than 4 tabs now)

'' i think its the os, windows never liked Mozilla and i think they snuck some code in there to randomly crash FF

The only solution is to stay with 1.5
2.0 was released WAY too soon.
Check the mozillazine forums http://forums.mozillazine.org. There are countless topcis with regard to "2.0 stalling", "2.0 freezes" etc etc.

After trying every possible resolution presented at mozillazine I finally realized 2.0 is a lsot cause for me. Back to 1.5 I went.

Oh well, I guess we will have to wait for the next release and hope the bugs are worked out.

These are the exact same problems I've been having with Firefox for a couple of months now, ever since I last updated it and I still have 1.5.0.9. I cannot tolerate it anymore. I really feel like I could have written your entry, though.

I've had FF for a month and have this problem every day. Have you come up with any conclusions?

Glad I am not the only one having these problems. It is constantly hanging on me, must have done it half a dozen times already today. Terrible Terrible.
